How to fit and get started with the Halti No Pull Harness

Step 1: To select the right size Halti No Pull Harness for your dog, we always recommend measuring you dog’s neck and then referring to our sizing guides. More details about how to measure your dog can also be found on our sizing guides.

Move the slider on the back of the harness near to the ring at the top of the leg straps.

Step 2: Hold the harness with the chest piece facing you and using a treat, lure your dog’s head through the neck hole and place the neck and leg straps over your dog’s head.

How to fit and get started with the Halti No Pull Harness

Step 3: Lift your dog’s front paws (one at a time) through the leg straps and adjust the padded leg sleeves so they sit in your dog’s armpits.

Step 4: Use the sliders to adjust the neck strap fit. You should be able to get 1-2 fingers between the strap and your dog's neck.

How to fit and get started with the Halti No Pull Harness

Step 5: Move the leg strap slider back down so it is around 5cm away from the guide rings.

Step 6: We always recommend using a Halti double clip Training Lead for the best no-pull training experience. Attach the small clip on your lead to the front control ring on the harness and the larger clip to the back ring of the harness.

How to fit and get started with the Halti No Pull Harness

Step 7: Take your dog to a quiet place and whilst holding your lead in both hands practice walking around using the harness. You should only engage the harness when your dog is actually pulling. Its unique patented design works with a combination of stop pull lifting action and front control. Continue to reward your dog when they are walking without pulling.
