The Montana Microfleece is lightweight and super-soft to touch. Featuring a half zip, this practical and durable fleece is breathable and made with anti-pill fabric - an essential layer for the outdoors and indoors.

Product Features

Lightweight

Lightweight fabric is perfect for activities such as hiking, walking or cycling. It provides a layer of protection without adding bulk.

Breathable

Breathable fabrics let moisture out quickly and efficiently. This technology means that perspiration can escape, avoiding dampness in the fabric. This makes it ideal for indoor and outdoor activities, or travel in warmer climates.

Antipill

Antipill technology uses longer threads to prevent the material from pilling or "bobbling". This ensures the fabric is better preserved and is more resistant to abrasion and rubbing.

Microfleece

Microﬂeece is a lightweight, breathable synthetic fabric that is soft to the touch. Often used as a lining for added warmth, it is long-lasting and easy to care for on the move. Great for travelling.

Half Zip

A half zip opens at the neck and comes halfway down the chest. This provides good ventilation and versatility. Great for warmer temperatures.

How to Choose Base Layer Clothing

Base Layers are worn for one of two reasons; to keep you warm & dry or cool & dry. It is important to select the right one, depending on your needs.

Which Fabric?

- Synthetic: Good for cool conditions, work well down to about -10*C when worn with ski outerwear. A good-value option for winter sports beginners.

- Merino Wool: Regulates body temperature in both warm & cold climates. Tiny air pockets draw excess heat away from the body, but also retain heat in colder conditions (down to -20C). This works even when they get wet! It is also UV resistant . Suited to more extreme conditions.

- Polyester: Quick-drying, lightweight & wick away moisture from the skin. Good middle ground for staying cool or warm.

What Size?

A base layer should be tight fitting so it traps air next to the skin to insulate the body from the cold, or quickly move perspiration to the surface to evaporate off.
